Der Produzent erkannte auf Anhieb die Originalitt des Pianisten und Komponisten und nahm ihn sofort unter Vertrag. In den folgenden fnf Jahren nahm Monk in verschiedenen Konstellationen fr das Label auf und dokumentierte so seine einzigartige Musik. Die 1956 erschienene 12 Zoll Compilation "Genius of
