The motif shows sliced apricots on a handmade plate from an art course in southern France, but the image also carries traces of Turkey. There, we used to walk barefoot among the apricot trees in the garden, pick the fruit, and share it directly with family in the shade. A quiet scene that captures the memory of sun warmed hands and voices around the table.
