The challenge was to integrate the frame with the painting so that it feels like a complete whole

and Maria has truly become Maria for the whole world

even though it’s now warmer and spring is in the air

yet still independent

I have then continued painting with acrylics on both the image and the frame. The frame, as with most of my paintings, is part of the artwork.
