Les demoiselles d’Sigean Tryck A Happy CowPablo Picasso! What an artist! My absolute favorite. In 1907, he painted Les Demoiselles dAvignon and thereby contributed to the development of Cubism. I did not have Picasso in mind when I began this painting, but he appeared at the end and had opinions about the title. So what do you do when the master speaks? The title became Les Demoiselles dSigean. Who are the three French ladies then? That is another, much longer story. Oil on canvas. W125 cm
