The straps with velcro for skateboard work great and you can get them nice and tight(all though the bottom one is a bit longer than the upper one?!) Good amount of little pockets to organize your goods, personally I would've liked one more larger organizing pocket in to the big compartment(there's a couple smaller all ready)
