(Dave Collyer) In searching the archives it seems the following methods are available for repairing poorly fitting ferrules: I have a female 15/64 ferrule that is supposed to fit the butt section of a three piece rod, but the ferrule station is between 13/64 and 14/64 The last two methods will avoid stripping off the reel seat, handle and/or strippers in order to get the butt section onto a lathe
