Sea of Cortez SLT first impressions In catching a dorado topwater with this reel on a 10wt during first use, I liked the narrow arbor, big drag knob, 2.5 turn drag range, fast retrieval rate, muted clicker volume, stops at both high and low end of the drag range and, most importantly, the extra stopping power (about 20#) at the top end of the drag range in this model that is useful in managing larger fish
Hip belt pockets, shoulder pockets, and bottom pockets are worth considering if you like to eat, navigate, filter water, and take photos without stopping
While flipping with your right hand, give the mono line a yank with your left to get the reel moving at the exact same speed as the cast
Looking at a reel's diagram in order to disassemble is something I have not done since I was 12
