The nailers ability to turn so quickly helps grip the inside of the mouth before they have chance to blow bait back out
A classic example for me would be in the spring, the water temp is rising but still very much on the chilly side, and the pike are starting to come out of their deeper winter haunts and look for food in shallow areas, especially as weed growth starts to appear and the first warm, sunny days can warm the shallows

The best lines that I have used and what other top Centerpin guides use are: My adventures to the West Coast have shown me that those huge fast-flowing rivers and those extra strong Ocean fish need stronger leaders therefore when Centerpin fishing on the West Coast I will use an 18-pound Centerpin line but I would never use that on a Great Lakes river
