PAB Regular member #17 When I retired I bought a Preston Absolute 36 Carbon Seat box best part of 2000 thinking it would be lighter and easer WRONG I now have a nice comfortable fox chair and a Drennan rucksack what a difference it has made to my fishing so much easier to get to pegs and no aching back sometimes you have to just face facts we are getting no younger I have had lots of boxes over the years from creels to hi tec carbon not one compares to a nice chair

All of this makes the R8 extremely versatile: its as good a nymphing rod as it is a dry-fly rod, and while you wouldnt call our 9-foot, 5-weight test model a streamer rod (nor expect it to be one in this age of monster meat flies), its got more than enough backbone for Zonkers, Buggers, Muddlers, and other traditional trout streamers
