This reel is smooth and fits nicely in my hand and you cant say enough about the cool sound of a nice smooth casting DC reel

However, I think this reel is fine for this rod

Now, Im not trying to say Id have won or kicking rocks at what might have been, because by the time I got out there and the fish really started biting, the tournament day was coming to an end and who knows if those same fish would have bit in the morning the way they were in the evening
