Originally trained in painting and drawing by David Zuccharini and in art history by Erica Rand at Bates College, Emily shifted focus in the 2000s and entered the food art world. She developed a range of original techniques for cookie art cookies as a canvas for hand iced and hand painted designs using edible colors and textured ingredients.
