South American, Brazilian Amazon, Rain Forest Jaguar Mask, Hand Carved, 1960's Adventure Blowpipes from indigenous South AmericanThis spectacular hand carved amazonian jaguar mask was purchased in the Brazilian Amazon in the late 1960's and brought back to the United States. The natural wood has some lightly dyed jaguar spots and red around the mouth, which was said to be done using natural dyes from the rain forest. It was reportedly hand made by an indigenous tribe in the Amazon river basin. An actual Amazonian jaguar is pictured in the last image for reference. This mask is
