Veins of Life hypha-hq which subsequently found its wayVeins of Life expands on my ongoing interest in natures communication systems. This work visually presents an interconnected ecosystem beneath the soil where each point in the embroidery branches out into a single tree. The overall form references a seed, symbolising potential and growth, while the structure beneath suggests a hidden network of life. I have also incorporated a dried thistle, symbolising biodiversity and the ways nature protects itself.
