Cau Cau hypha-gallery-east-village which subsequently found its wayPainted using acrylic on linen, this work is part of a series that draws on photographs from my childhood. It captures an intimate moment in which my grandmother is feeding me. The title, Cau cau, refers to the dish I am eating a traditional Peruvian stew and one of my favourite dishes as a child. The work is rendered in a nostalgic colour palette and reflects on themes of memory, care and familial relationships.
