Dr. Loosen Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett 2023 Wine Bar | Orange and Rose swirling and swishing on theFrom one of the Mosel's most legendary vineyards: the Wehlener Sonnenuhr, a steep, south facing slope of blue Devonian slate named for the sundial ('Sonnenuhr') a 19th century grower built so his pickers could tell the time. Dr. Loosen owns old ungrafted vines here, some over a century old, farmed without irrigation and fermented with native yeast. At Kabinett ripeness, the wine is lightly sweet but so charged with slate driven acidity that it tastes
