manufactured by the German lighting company Gecos - Gebrüder Cosack Lighting Company established in 1847

Large Industrial Foundry Molds Circa 1960s Bauhaus The design was based onLarge circa 1960s industrial foundry mold used in the production of machine parts via metal casting. Made from wood this mold would be pressed into sand to form a negative space, into which molten metal would be poured to create the machine part. These molds were acquired from Webster & Horsfall a 300 year old factory ( still running to this day ) in Birmingham renowned for producing steel cable. They produced some of the strongest cable in the world,
