Kintsugi: Imperfect Beauty Beaded This artwork is set inA 4 inch hoop with a beautiful fine line design of a body with stretch marks. The name of this piece 'Kintsugi' is an ode to the long standing Japanese tradition of fixing broken ceramics with gold. The Japanese cherish the imperfections of these repaired ceramics and see it as a form of rebirth to the objects life story. I think this is a really beautiful way to think about ones stretch marks and is why I have detailed them in a light gold thread.
