Held in 2004 in celebration of what would have been the artists one hundredth birthday, the exhibition included thirty nine paintings spanning five decades, from 1946 through 1988. Curated by David Whitney, it focused on de Koonings abstraction, including Surrealist influenced works of the 1940s, landscapes of the 1950s
