Antique Japanese Zelkova Wood Tabako bon Smoking Box Large WO622 Copper surface oxidationThis is an antique Japanese wooden tabako bon (smoking box), dating from the Meiji to the early Showa period. It is crafted from Keyaki (Zelkova) wood and comes with a metal ash receptacle (hiire) and a bamboo tube (haifuki). The smoking box is slightly larger in size and features a thick wooden construction that highlights the prominent natural grain of the Zelkova wood. The top surface has two circular openings designed to securely hold the
