Its a small, vigorous, fast growing, deciduous shrub with compact, weeping habit and arching stems. Its leaves are long, lance shaped, silvery green. Super fragrant, tiny, lilac purple flowers, with orange yellow centres, are clustered in cone shaped panicles. They are sterile and have no pollen so the plant will not self seed.
