Distant Mirrors Annabelle Markwick and SURVIVE THISDistant Mirrors is a catalogue of a temporary public sculpture by Ellen Driscoll, installed in the fall of 2011. The sculpture was a floating archipelago in a tidal river, made from thousands of recycled HDPE plastic bottles. Rising and falling with the tides, the sculpture created a poetic ghost image of a dystopic "post oil" future landscape layered as strata on the floating skeleton of the earliest map of Providence, Rhode Island.
