Les Bornes' simply means 'clay soils' in Berrichon, the local dialect, but this Kimmeridgian marl is very special, giving rise to some of the best Sauvignon in the Loire. An aromatic wine, the nose is very bright yet ripe with plenty of citrus pith. Clean as a whistle, with lip smacking acidity, yet full, rich, and tender.
