This piece tells the story of evolution, from the Big Bang to the formation of highly sophisticated biological structures vertebrae. The advancement involved billions of physical connections; atoms bumping, molecules colliding. And a series of mistakes, or accidents. Survival of the fittest consists of taking the odd one out with an inborn benefit. The Lost Way in the title references presumed
