Bred and owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, her dam and grandam are also shown in the background. As a yearling, she was the ugly duckling of the paddocks, yet went on to a glorious career and made racing history in the process. Thoroughbred experts have had much to say about the way she moves, particularly her signature windmilling galloping action.
