The ball joint allows you to reposition your work, and a thumbscrew opens up to 1 8" to accomodate a pair of tweezers (available separately; see items 115205, 115206 and 115037). The base is weighted (3 4 lb. 316g) to keep it in place, with rubber coating on the bottom to protect your work surface against scratches.
